Fishing and Hoping

What would you do if you had a million dollars?  Well, thanks to a store’s fishing contest,  some friends and I were able to daydream about spending money that we didn’t have. It was entertaining hearing everyone’s vacation plans and simply spending money that we didn’t have.

Except, fishing was not as easy as I thought it would be. After two hours of fumbling with my fishing pole and casting my hook on weeds, the girls and I gave up the dream, packed up and went shopping. The boys on the other hand, frustratedly gave it another hour and twiddled their thumbs while waiting for that elusive million dollar fish to bite. The daydream was good while it lasted but we all knew that our chances of winning were as slim as a finding a polar bear in the Philippines.

We are now off to Washington. Am extremely thankful for a great pit stop in Oregon. Seeing our friends, having a bed to sleep on and an actual shower was wonderful but I’m ready for the next state and Canada!
