Sage roast pork served with apple chutney and mashed potatoes

.5 kilo roast pork  – 143.00 Php  / $3.25
2 Fuji apples – 70.00 Php / $1.60
2 large potatoes – 45.50 Php / $1.01
1 white onion – 5.86 Php / .13 cents

Roast Pork

Rub the pork roast with a good amount of mustard, salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Heat some butter on a pan and drop a few sage leaves in. Heat the pork on the pan until all sides are golden brown. Remove from pan and transfer into oven. Cook for 25 minutes and remove from the oven. Cover the roast with foil and let it sit for another 30 minutes.  

Apple Chutney

Dice 2 Fuji apples and one white onion. Tear up about 2 tablespoons of fresh sage leaves. Saute’ on a non stick pan with a tablespoon of butter for 10 minutes or until soft. Add a splash of Grand Marnier and let the alcohol evaporate. Salt and pepper to taste.
